Yoga for Over 50’s

Nurture Yourself. Move with Confidence

As we move through our 50s and beyond, our bodies naturally change. Our strength, flexibility, balance, energy and recovery can all shift, and sometimes we need to approach movement differently than we did when we were younger.

Movement that’s Sustainable

This four-week Yoga for Over 50s course is an opportunity to slow down, listen to your body and discover what supports you now.

The classes combine yoga, somatic movement, breathwork and meditation to support strength, balance, mobility, nervous system wellbeing and greater awareness of the body.

The focus is not on pushing yourself or trying to achieve a particular pose. Instead, we explore ways of moving that are sustainable, supportive and appropriate for where you are today.

What we will explore
  1. Gentle and accessible yoga
  2. Somatic movement and body awareness
  3. Strength, balance and mobility
  4. Breathwork
  5. Meditation and relaxation
  6. Developing greater awareness of the nervous system
  7. Learning to work with your body rather than against it
All levels welcome!

All levels are welcome. Whether you are new to yoga, returning after a break, or have been practising for many years, you will be offered variations and options throughout the course.

If you are working with an injury or have particular physical limitations, please let me know. There are often ways to adapt the practices to suit your needs.
